AmazingI loved this book as much maybe more than the other h h books。 So much thought goes into the characters and the subjects covered。 If only this place was real， I would love to love there。 I highly recommend this series to everyone。

I have loved this series， and am happy that there is one more book to come。 I would really encourage readers to start with the first book to really get the background on all that has happened at Hedgehog Hollow。 Even though Sammy and Josh are now married， there are still issues they need to deal with。 As does Josh’s Aunt Lauren， who has never come to terms with the sudden and unexplained departure of her first husband。

Self confessed Jessica Redland addict， devotee and general lover of any series she puts in print。 You therefore won’t be surprised when I say I loved this ， but I’m also hesitant as the next book is the last in the series abd I don’t want this wonderful world， one of my happy places to end。 I suppose I should restrain my grieving and tell you how amazing this is， because as always Jessica has given us another fantastic book， you could probably get away with reading this as a stand-alone but I do Self confessed Jessica Redland addict， devotee and general lover of any series she puts in print。 You therefore won’t be surprised when I say I loved this ， but I’m also hesitant as the next book is the last in the series abd I don’t want this wonderful world， one of my happy places to end。 I suppose I should restrain my grieving and tell you how amazing this is， because as always Jessica has given us another fantastic book， you could probably get away with reading this as a stand-alone but I don’t know why you’d want to。 I thoroughly recommend starting at the beginning and experiencing the joy of meeting all the characters， this village for the first time。 In this book we get Lauren’s story and trust me it’s unexpected， it’s interesting and we get answers， decisions and ultimately we get to know Lauren so much better， there are the cameos from old favourite faces - I love seeing how they’re getting on and growing， of course， the prerequisite support cast of unique characters， adorable people you want to take home as your own friends and the most fabulous community spirit。Jessica’s books are always so complex， not just a light romance here， Jessica regularly has me in tears， she covers with sensitivity story lines of ‘real life’ problems， she always breaks my heart and somehow manages to rebuild it for me by the end and then I’m crying tears again but at least they’re the happy kind。 I will always recommend a Jessica Redlands book to anyone， especially anyone who needs an uplifting read， a book to give you a hug ， one that although may hurt at some points you know you’ll be better for it by the end。 This and most of Jessica’s books are a friend when you really need one。Thanks to netgalley ， Rachel’s Random Resources and Boldwood Books for a free copy in return for an honest review 。。。more

How amazing！ Each book in this series has been so much more than just a simple story of love and friendship， this author tackles very deep and poignant life story lines and does it so well and so beautifully。 The amount of research， sweat and tears that they put into each word is so blatantly obvious and the final result is something spectacular that really resonates and leaves you thinking long after you’ve finished reading。 I really liked Lauren and Riley and how they were drawn to each other How amazing！ Each book in this series has been so much more than just a simple story of love and friendship， this author tackles very deep and poignant life story lines and does it so well and so beautifully。 The amount of research， sweat and tears that they put into each word is so blatantly obvious and the final result is something spectacular that really resonates and leaves you thinking long after you’ve finished reading。 I really liked Lauren and Riley and how they were drawn to each other and found sharing their deepest darkest secrets with each so easily。 Riley is the perfect other half for Lauren。 The whole Shaun/Sasha storyline was unexpected but so sensitively done and I really enjoyed it， very much feeling quite similarly to Lauren as she learnt the truth。 It was great to see the regular characters and seeing them progress and grow， seeing Sam and Josh supporting each other and looking to grown not only their family but their business。 I’ll be sad when this series comes to an end as I’ve enjoyed every single visit。 。。。more

Returning to Hedgehog Hollow is always a rather special experience。 Jessica Redland has built a whole community of wonderful characters whose stories interweave in a glorious tapestry to create this glorious series。 This story picks up where the last book ended， as Sam and Josh have tied the knot before their extended families。 The stories that have brought them to this point have been difficult， at times， but always uplifting。This time， we follow the story of Lauren。 Josh’s aunt and currently l Returning to Hedgehog Hollow is always a rather special experience。 Jessica Redland has built a whole community of wonderful characters whose stories interweave in a glorious tapestry to create this glorious series。 This story picks up where the last book ended， as Sam and Josh have tied the knot before their extended families。 The stories that have brought them to this point have been difficult， at times， but always uplifting。This time， we follow the story of Lauren。 Josh’s aunt and currently landlady to Sam’s dad。 It’s a strange set of circumstances that seem perfect in the context of the book。 Lauren finds that her job is in jeopardy and the solutions aren’t acceptable。 What is a surprise， to both Lauren and the reader， is that she’s feeling attracted to another man despite the fact that her heart belongs to her first love， ex-husband Shaun。 We then delve into the backstory of Lauren and how she has come to be single。 As you may imagine， she’s not had a smooth path and I was genuinely gutted for her as the stories unfolded。Presented with an opportunity to learn more about where her love life went wrong， Lauren explores the past。 Of course， this is a Jessica Redland book so don’t try to guess what’s coming next， as you’ll enjoy it more if you just go with the flow。Naturally， this book isn’t just about Lauren as we follow Sam and Josh on honeymoon。 A simple mistake brings back some of Sam’s stress。 She’s now much better equipped to deal with her panics， but she still tortures herself with questions and what if scenarios。 Of course， she’s married Josh who is probably the kindest man around。There are plenty more hedgehogs and surprises as a couple of family members turn over a new leaf。 Each book in this series is better than the last。 I’m not sure if it’s just because they each feel like I’m visiting old friends， but they are all truly special。I enjoyed escaping to Hedgehog Hollow and adore Jessica Redland’s writing。 。。。more

If you’ve been to Hedgehog Hollow before， you’ll know that Samantha and Josh finally tied the knot on the first anniversary of the sanctuary’s opening – a lovely occasion， surrounded by friends and family （some of them a rather lovely surprise）。 But for Lauren， who’s Josh’s aunt， it was more a shock than a surprise – she’d rather come round to the idea of becoming more than friends with Samantha’s dad Jonathan， but she discovered that he seemed rather more interested in rekindling things with hi If you’ve been to Hedgehog Hollow before， you’ll know that Samantha and Josh finally tied the knot on the first anniversary of the sanctuary’s opening – a lovely occasion， surrounded by friends and family （some of them a rather lovely surprise）。 But for Lauren， who’s Josh’s aunt， it was more a shock than a surprise – she’d rather come round to the idea of becoming more than friends with Samantha’s dad Jonathan， but she discovered that he seemed rather more interested in rekindling things with his ex-wife Debs。 And this latest book is primarily Lauren’s story – although it never loses focus on developments at the rescue centre or Josh and Sam’s future lives – as we dip into the sadnesses of her past through her less favoured childhood and her two failed marriages。 The second one might just have been a mistake – but the first was to Shaun， the love of her life， her true North， and she’s never really recovered from her heartbreak when he inexplicably walked away twenty-six years ago。 And just now her present day life isn’t going too well either。 While Sam’s away on her honeymoon， and her sister’s too busy with her new life to listen， she finds herself facing other big changes in her life – along with the unexpected opportunity to discover what really happened all those years ago。Lauren’s whole story moves into rather unexpected territory that might have been a challenge for a lesser author – and I must say that I thought she totally knocked it out of the park。 The issues were really sensitively handled， the whole subject so well researched， and the emotional side particularly affecting。 And another part of her story that I really loved was her fledgling relationship with new friend Riley – such a lovely guy （shame about his job…）， and I loved the whole handling of the common ground they shared and the way he stepped up when the chips were down。 I wonder if I might find myself a Riley at my local garden centre？ Ah well， if not， I’d certainly take some white mice as consolation！Of course， life goes on at the Hollow – there are hedgehog lives to save， and the friends and family step in to keep things running while Sam and Josh are in Tanzania on their honeymoon。 And we get to travel with them， although their storyline perhaps becomes rather more about honesty and trust and coming to terms with fears for the future than their experiences in paradise。 And just for the sake of balance， I think I must mention that their trip was the only part of the book that might have disappointed me just a teeny bit – I never really got a strong sense of place， and it all turned a little bit too angsty for me。 But I did thoroughly enjoy the ongoing stories of all the other characters – and， do you know， I think I need to drop the word “characters” because they’re all real people to me， and I feel totally invested in the way their lives move on。If you haven’t read the other books in this lovely series （and， if you haven’t， why on earth not？！）， you might just find that there’s rather a large cast to get your head around and to understand their back stories and the relationships between them。 Sometimes too， when you’re reading a series， it’s easy to forget what happened last time， however involved you were in everyone’s lives for as long as you were reading。 Worry not – there’s a really useful list of the recurring characters at the start of the book for you to refer to， and a “story so far” to bring you back up to speed。 In fact， it’s all so well done that some people might just like to try this one as a standalone – but you might feel you were missing out on the background a little， and why deny yourself the pleasure？I’ve written the sixth and final book in my head already – I know whose stories I’d like to read the most， and which of them I’d really love to find their happy ending。 This is just such a perfect series of books – and as I think this was the best so far （and very highly recommended by me）， could I dare to hope that the sixth might be even better？ 。。。more

Book 5 in this series and again the emotions were pouring through this book， laugh， cry， gasp， it is fabulous， I really enjoyed this story line， some unexpected twists and turns， I am looking forward to number 6 but as it will be the last I will be sad but also excited to see what Jessica comes up with yet， I have read most of her books now and I can safely say that there has not been one bad one。

🌄Another great story of family and friends🤗I have enjoyed every book in this series and Chasing Dreams definitely did not disappoint。 By now as the series has progressed Samantha and Josh， who finally get their wedding day and honeymoon in this story， have their lives filled with not just rescued hedgehogs， but there is a goodly contingent of family and friends who've loved and learned and brightened their lives。 They all feel like friends to me， too。 Seems the good vibes at the hedgehog rescue 🌄Another great story of family and friends🤗I have enjoyed every book in this series and Chasing Dreams definitely did not disappoint。 By now as the series has progressed Samantha and Josh， who finally get their wedding day and honeymoon in this story， have their lives filled with not just rescued hedgehogs， but there is a goodly contingent of family and friends who've loved and learned and brightened their lives。 They all feel like friends to me， too。 Seems the good vibes at the hedgehog rescue center have softened some hearts， changed some attitudes and healed old emotional wounds。 My kind of positive story。Lauren， Josh's aunt， is a key focus in this book and her bittersweet tale of love mysteriously lost was a good one。 The author tells a sad story but brings in some hope for better times to soften her tragic past。 She had me fully， emotionally involved in Lauren's fate and her final scenes with her ex mother-in-law Ivy were terribly poignant。 And I am still hopeful that Phoebe， my favorite character from the last book who appears regularly in this story as a resident at the Hollow， will continue to move forward toward her own happiness。Although the author does provide some brief background on occasion about events that transpired in previous books， I would really recommend reading this series from the beginning。 Only two years have elapsed from events at the start of the first book to the end of this one but so much has happened to Samantha and her besties。 Why miss it？！Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion。 。。。more

Bummed to hear this is the penultimate book in the series。 The series could have gone on indefinitely with all the side characters to explore， so it’s a bit of a let down。 I enjoyed this one and it was refreshing to hear Lauren’s story as a new focus。 Please consider continuing this series。

I have loved all the Hedgehog Hollow books so far， and Chasing Dreams at Hedgehog Hollow has been no exception。It was a joy to be back with so many characters that I’ve come to love。 It’s wonderful to see Sam and Josh enjoying their honeymoon and starting to work on their next steps together。 There are several other characters that have had difficult times in previous books， and it’s so rewarding to see them being happy now。I loved the variety of settings in this book。 It was great fun travellin I have loved all the Hedgehog Hollow books so far， and Chasing Dreams at Hedgehog Hollow has been no exception。It was a joy to be back with so many characters that I’ve come to love。 It’s wonderful to see Sam and Josh enjoying their honeymoon and starting to work on their next steps together。 There are several other characters that have had difficult times in previous books， and it’s so rewarding to see them being happy now。I loved the variety of settings in this book。 It was great fun travelling to Tanzania （especially the hedgehog）， and seeing more of the places where Lauren spends her time。 There was also plenty of time spent at Hedgehog Hollow too。I also really enjoyed exploring Lauren’s past and getting to know her better。 I love the way that she and Sam support one another。 I can’t say much more without spoilers， but I loved her storyline so much。I don’t know what else to say really， other than how much I recommend this book。 I think it’s even better than the previous one - I found the child neglect and abuse quite stressful to read about， though the story was very rewarding - I found this one much more relaxing。 And although it was emotional in parts， it made me feel happy。 It’s also very well written， and you can see how much research has gone into it！Oh， and I love the little hedgehogs at the top of each chapter。 So cute。Overall， this was just such a lovely and emotional （in a good way） story。 I really recommend it （and the whole Hedgehog Hollow series）。TW: death from cancer （not a main character）。I was given a free copy of this book， my opinions are my own。 。。。more

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book。Another brilliant book in the hedgehog hollow series。This time the book focuses on。 Lauren who currently lives with Samantha’s father。 We are taken on Lauren’s journey to find love after two failed marriages。 Can’t wait for the next book in the series。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This is book 5 in the fantastic hedgehog Hollow series by Jessica Redland and I'm pleased to say that this one is just as brilliant as the previous 4。Once again you have the 'returning characters' list which I think is a brilliant touch at the start of the book， especially when you can refer back to it whilst reading the book if you forget who certain characters are。 I kept forgetting who Natasha and Rosemary were。 You also have the signature hedgehog picture at the start of each chapter which i This is book 5 in the fantastic hedgehog Hollow series by Jessica Redland and I'm pleased to say that this one is just as brilliant as the previous 4。Once again you have the 'returning characters' list which I think is a brilliant touch at the start of the book， especially when you can refer back to it whilst reading the book if you forget who certain characters are。 I kept forgetting who Natasha and Rosemary were。 You also have the signature hedgehog picture at the start of each chapter which is another feature I absolutely love。 This time we read Lauren's story as well as continuing Samantha's story。 Before I get into properly reviewing this， I just want to say how awesome it is that the Hedgehog Hollow series seems so multi-generational。 By this I mean， in each of the books the character who features alongside Samantha seems to be a different age so I feel like this series would appeal to a wide range of readers as different ages could relate to different things from the characters。 Anyway back to reviewing book 5。There were delicate topics raised in this book which I think Jessica Redland handled sensitively whilst trying to explain the impact of that topic clearly so you the reader could really engage with the characters。Whilst handling quite heavy topics， there were also lighter aspects to the book， such as the topic of sweets and the naming of hedgehogs。 One particular name （George from the TV series Rainbow） had my dad going on YouTube to find an episode of Rainbow for me to watch which was quite fun。You also follow Samantha and Josh on their honeymoon and I enjoyed going on Google to find the different Specie of hedgehog they found and seeing the differences between that and the Hedgehogs Samantha and Josh treat at Hedgehog Hollow。 I really loved this book and will definitely be buying a paperback copy as soon as I can。 I can't wait for book 6。Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood books for an advanced reader's copy of this brilliant book。 。。。more
